An Interview with Connie

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen!
It’s your host Arashrimus, (@arashrimus / @jj_editor_arashrimus_) and I’m delighted to deliver you a fresh dose of yet another exclusive JJ Editor interview!
This time around the Interview revolves around a “Purple-haired” young lady, a true free spirit who recently got acclaimed with a special feature by @instagram’s official feed! A humble and down to earth friend that you’d never get enough spending a day with her venturing down corners of New York & last but not least it’s the story of a young woman who also happens to be a creative cook like no other!
Yeah… without further ado let me present you my interview with the one and only Connie (@angrylittlenotion / @jj_editor_alittlenotion)!
So before going through Connie’s interview let me tell you a few words about my encounter with her during my NYC visit! I meet Connie, Avalon (@avalonlovelee) and Olena (@mangelka) on a beautiful summer’s day in hopes of meeting more JJ family members! And Boy, What great day it has turned for me! 3 lovely ladies coming down from different corners of East Coast in order to make new friendships and to do some JJ-Styled instawalk!
Connie turned out to be a kind and loving person that you’d feel knowing her for a long time, she greeted me with a big hug and just like that JJ’s “Create to Connect” concept came to life instantly! I personally can’t express how much I enjoyed spending the day with her and can’t wait to repeat the experience again!
So who is Connie? She came upfront by saying she has always been a true Jersey girl as she was born, raised, married and is now happily living in NJ, she confesses initially she was a Facebook activist but later on she decided to find a decent virtual space to post her photographs in hopes of having a good time, finding new friends and to build up a photo-centric audience. That was when she read a couple of internet articles about the Instagram and JJ Community and then the rest was history!
Subsequently Connie hopped into the JJ Editors family on January 2016; moreover she always felt inspired by seeing thousands of pictures being uploaded into JJ’s daily themes, thus having the power to curate such vast set of pictures was the main inspiration she needed to sign up to become a JJ Editor!

I asked Connie what “JJ Editing” duties means to her and she came up with sweetest interpretation I’ve heard in a longest of time! She told me running her JJ Editorial account happens to be the perfect space to upload the pictures that doesn’t belong to her; as she loves the idea to select and feature them with much love as if they were her very own pictures! She says selecting features happens to be a joyous procedure as she carefully takes a sweet time by going through the daily submissions in order to feature the shots she spiritually feels connected with. All in all her Editorial account satisfies her needs to run a space filled with huge sets of wonderful work of Art!
Connie says she never feels the rush to select her favorite shots instantly; she tends to come back throughout the day to find the potential features and ultimately would select the photographs in “sets of threes” to create a perfect flow within her Editorial gallery.
I asked Connie about her favorite “JJ daily theme” and she told me her favorite daily theme happens to be Tuesday’s “Huesday” theme! She loves to hunt down Color-based themes but at the same time she also confessed “interpretative” themes are not that much her cup of coffee!
Now let me bring you some cool quick facts about Connie:
- Connie is married (she likes to refer it as happily “Chained & Bolted”) for 16 years!
- She started professional photography since summer of 2015 and ever since she found herself in an urge to make it better and better each day.
- Connie studied Illustration and happens to be a very good at drawing objects and graphic designs.
- Blue is her favorite color, but for some reason she always ends up with Red colored stuff!
- Her favorite motto in life is “No Regrets!”; she confirms she’s never keen to turn back the time to undo her past decisions!
- Autumn is Connie’s favorite season and she loves the combination of a Windy Autumn day while wearing some fancy long sleeve shirts!
- Connie’s favorite food is Fried Eggs! As a matter of fact, I urge you all to visit her personal feed right away! For almost 2 years her personal account gave me constant temptations to the best looking (& surely best tasting) fried eggs in hundreds of different variations!
- iPhone 6 is Connie’s daily driver for to her photography needs; she mainly uses VSCO / Snapseed as well as IG’s original editing tools to enhance her own photographs.
- Connie does Photography on daily basis and her home is her most used photography spot as it’s quite close to her kitchen to maximize productivity on capturing fresh photographs for her appetizing dishes!
As a personal question I asked Connie how far she’s willing to go if someone’s crying for help and She told me it all boils down on how one was raised and educated, Connie pointed out she’s among the first generation of Chinese/American people who was born and raised in United States, thus she grown up with a huge deal of special attention from her parents on teaching her moral values and on how to be a “good” person; all in all Connie confirms she’s always trying to be a good one and is willing to help others as much as she’s able to.
The last question that I asked Connie was about her point of view regarding photography and how she forecasts the future of Instagram as an evolving social network; Connie replied photography is something that she thinks everyone should be trying it out as there’s nothing to lose upon practicing it!

She also thinks Instagram is going to comfortably stick around for the years to come as all types of professional seem to have the ever-growing urge to keep posting their photographs throughout such photo-centric social networks, nevertheless like many other IG users, Connie seems to prefer Instagram’s white/blue layout and its original photo sorting algorithm.
And that leads us to the end of another Exclusive JJ Interview, I hope you enjoyed getting to know yet another talented artist who’s happily helping out the JJ family to get better and bigger every day.
Kindly stay tune for more Interviews to be posted in the same spot very soon!
Yours sincerely,
Arashrimus (@arashrimus)
