An Interview with Missy

Good Day JJers! It’s Your host Arashrimus (@arashrimus) and I’m honored to bring you yet another “fresh outta oven” exclusive JJ Editor Interview!

For this monthly dose of JJ Editor Interview I’ve looked around for quite a while to find my next perfect “target” ! I needed to find a fun, cheerful and fresh-faced JJ Editor who perfectly cemented her place within the cores of the Community in a relatively short space of time in the most professional manner!

And… Baam! I got what I needed the moment Missy Crow’s ( @jj_editor_missy ) name came up!

Missy Crow ( also known as @whentheboughbreaks_ ) is seating on our “Hot Seat” and she’s willing to spill the means like never heard before!

As you probably know Missy’s personal Instagram feed do carries 12k of avid followers! So you’d probably guess Missy’s life should be already an open book through the daily uploads on her personal feed, but believe me as you ain’t receiving half of the fun by solely checking her feed, Thus you have came to the right place to know the story of an utterly talented JJ Editor, An awesome Single mom and a “Karate Kid” at heart!!!

So without further ado let’s unravel Missy’s long awaited story of life!
Missy resides in “The Athens of America” also known as “The Beantown” & also known as “The Oldie Towne” ! Yup! You guessed right as She lives in Boston, Massachusetts! A city famous for its great Cultural influence, its iconic baked beans dishes and its long heritage for being one of the oldest modern cities ever built in the northern American continent! All in all her Bostonian heritage reassured me that i’m dealing with a very liberal, independent and a talented personality like no other!

Missy can’t recall when exactly she joined Instagram but she says Instagram has always been part of her daily life since the initial Boom. She then recalls JJ Community were amongst the very first Instagram communities that she decided to join in.

I asked Missy about her incentives on becoming a JJ Editor and she told me the JJ Editor duties fascinated her since the day one, but for some strange reason she always missed the annual JJ Editor Recruitment deadlines! Naturally she always found herself hugely bugged upon seeing the expired deadlines to the point that one day she was thinking to literally drop by @joshjohnson's Doorstep to explain that he and @kevinkuster do really need to sign her up at any cost! Nevertheless Missy finally filled in for the Job right in time, thus a year ago she joined in the “JJ Editors Club” for good!

Missy says she loves the JJ Editorial duties very much as the Editing responsibilities for the JJ Community happens to be much different than doing it for other Instagram communities, she always finds herself in a greater deal of creative control upon featuring photographs for the JJ.

She reveals the JJ Editorial guidelines are giving her the chance to sometimes feature photographs that might be a bit “off the cuff” or a tad “crusty” in terms of their visual qualities, but those “not-so-perfect looking” photographs do carry special messages within their hidden layers that makes them worthy to be featured and praised by a bigger audience! She also adds her favorite daily theme subjects happen to be “Huesdays” and the themes that do emphasize on textures, patterns and line. She says those themes do prompt her to find various sources of creativity within the large pool of submitted photos to those corresponding themes.

Ok! Now let’s distant ourselves from the Photo-centric JJ Editor Missy, and let’s instead get closer to the private aspects of Missy Crow’s personal life!
Missy reveals she and her husband separated 10 years ago and she had single handedly took control to raise her two kids since then. She says Sienna and Lukas have both turned into extraordinary teenagers and she can now safely claim both of them to be the best things ever happened in her life so far! In other words, she likes to calls herself a very Proud mamma!

I asked how she describes herself as a human being and she boldly replied back by saying she sees herself as a very simple yet a very complicated person at the same time! She then added that she is blessed with a twisted sense of humor as she is mainly heavy on sarcasm at times too! She also revealed that she is most of the times quite Initiative and nutty when it comes to making decisions! Missy confessed she’s always easily distracted by Colors, lines and textures as well… in one word she claims she’s in fact the modern day version of “Amelia Bedelia”! LOL

Missy remembers she has always been fascinated by the magic of photography since she was a small child, later on her father bought her a Manual SLR Minolta and subsequently her love for Photography blossomed even further to the point that she gradually opened up a small photo gallery! Unfortunately the Analogue film days were pretty much over and she had no other option to call it a day on the business that she once had huge hopes for it. Nevertheless her profound love for Photography remained alive and kicking in Missy’s heart, thus she continued to cherish it as a special hobby in her life.

These days Missy’s weapon for photography happens to be her brand new iPhone 7Plus as it gives her the possibility to carry it with herself anywhere that she goes. Missy says she always tries her best to capture extraordinary photographs from the trivial and ordinary things that are scattered around her, She says the ordinary and trivial things around us are indeed precious enough to be cherished and captured if we actually begin to appreciate them as the way they are intended for.

Now if you wonder out of the 12.400 Instagram Followers, which two lucky people are amongst Missy’s top favorite friends? Well, before spilling the beans I have to confess the same two very people mentioned by Missy are infact holding special places on all-time favorite friends as well! So I guess it’s safe to say me and Missy do share the same taste in finding Super cool friends LOL… Missy’s top favorite Instagram friends are Connie (@angrylittlenotion) & Jonathan (@mywitsend)! Missy says both guys are huge sources of inspiration to her as whatever they are posting on their feeds do seem to be perfectly flawless to her eyes!

And before I wrap this up, I wanted to share another side of Missy’s personal life in case you are not familiar with it already. KARATE!!! You heard it right, Our JJ Editor Missy happens to be a proud holder of Karate Black-belt in Martial Arts! She also earned a Blue-belt in “Gracie Jiu Jitsu” that requires spending at least over 2500 hours of practice in the same field! Missy says learning Martial Arts came along with having multiple black eyes, various bumps and bruises, broken nose and ribs!

Still she confesses learning Marshall Arts turned out to be as one of the best decisions that she had took in her lifetime as it gives her the power to stay strong upon dealing with life challenges and to stay humble along dealing with things that do need patience in order to solve them correctly. She says learning Martial Arts had made her to become a better person in the end! A person who is absolutely Proud of the life that she’s been given to live!
