An Interview with Jennifer

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen,
It’s Arashrimus / @arashrimus posting.
This week here comes a true Californian Spirit sharing her story with us! An Editor who is not only a Photographer, but also happens to be a very avid and devoted Mom! Yes…We have an IG MOM for this week’s Interview Spotlight!
Jennifer ( @zsmom / @jj_editor_zsmom2) kindly agreed to exclusively share her story with JJ Community and I personally enjoyed every bit of her kindness, honesty and patience! Now let’s read through and get to know her a bit better as well!
I was browsing the list of the Editors and as soon as I saw Jennifer’s page I knew I had to ask her to sit for an interview, she happens to be a very hard working JJ Editor for two years already & yet she still has plenty of Steam left in her pipes with her grand daily selections! So who better than an IG Mom to talk with?!
Let’s begin with spilling a bit of her personal life before we go through some technical stuff! Jennifer currently resides in Anaheim (CA) and proudly claims she’s an original “Cali Girl” as even her grandparents lived in Orange County thus she spent a great chunk of her lifetime by living at the West Coast! Jenny adds she and her husband are having a glorious 5 year old son who she loves and cares more than anything else in her life! Now that’s where her story gets interesting… Jennifer says she actually started photography as soon as her son was born! And since then she’s on duty to take pictures of her son 24/7!

To make matters more interesting, a friend asked her to join Instagram as an incentive to share her photographs with other photographers and yet to find a way to get connected to Mothers who are also just as “keen” to take shots of their kids on IG! (Hey! So that’s how IG Moms are ruling the Instagram! LOL), Jenny confesses her favorite spot to take pictures of her son as actually by the beach, but since she’s a full time employee she doesn’t want to miss a moment by her son thus she takes photographs off him wherever and whenever it “feels” good!
As I went through her words, I also found aside from raising her own 5 year biological son, Jenny has already adopted a dear kid and raised him in the good old days as well! Jenny confesses these days her 21 year old step-son is not paying her visits that often but nevertheless her thoughts are with him eternally too! All in all, it shows she’s a genuine woman with stunning “motherly” instincts!
Some quick facts about Jenny!
- Favorite Food: Mexican
- Best Personal Dish: Breakfast Meal
- Favorite Season: Spring
- Favorite Color: Red
- Favorite Band: Freddie Mercury’s Queen
- Favorite Track: Any “Sappy” love song!
- Top Buying Wish-list: iPhone 7!
- Pets: 3 Goldfishes
As for some other personal stuff I asked Jenny about her Happiest and her Saddest days in life and she confidentially mentioned her happiest day so far has been the day her son was born (IG MOM Spirit!) & unfortunately her saddest was the day she had a miscarriage three years ago as she truly had hoped to bring a sibling to her son.
I also asked how she Evaluates / Sees herself and in all humbleness she replied she sees herself as a caring & compassionate soul and yet as a photographer she describes herself is someone who still needs to “learn” a lot! (No Way Jenny! You’re truly Fab!)

Jennifer happens to be working in the HR Department of a local casino for 16 years already (Wow! Jenny you are consistent and persistent with everything!) But yet she magically still finds quality time to spend with her son, do some cooking & more importantly to find enough time to do JJ Editing duties! Ah! Did you know Jenny is actually running a couple of fabulous JJ Anarchy Groups too? (@jj_faceless, @jj_anarchyunited & @jj_portraiture)
Create To Connect
I asked if she has meet any of the JJ or IG members and gladly recalls she has meet Karen ( @wdnesday ) and some other IG members, but she confesses there are tons of other JJ members she hasn’t yet meet in flesh, but equally and dearly loves them too all due to the genuine relationships made through JJ’s “Create To Connect”!
Jenny explains JJ’s “Create to Connect” motto happens to be a very dear concept to her all because she sees it a way to “connect” with someone else’s life, heart, memory and imagination! (Jenny! I loved your answer Big Time!) And in case you wonder her sole reason why she became a JJ Editor? Hmm… She confessed to be able to “make someone else’s day”!
Well that leads to the end of one more exclusive JJ Editor Spotlight; I hope you guys enjoyed getting to know Jennifer just as much as I did! And please kindly stay tune for more JJ Editors heading to you very soon!
All the best,
Arashrimus / @arashrimus
